Daniel Strause, CPA, is a resident of Rio, WI and has been the driving force within the community to help facilitate the return of a full service bank to Rio. Dan spent over two years of work in the Rio community researching the potential success of a new community bank for Rio. His background and professional experience coupled with his current involvement brings tremendous value to the planning process. Dan received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1987 and began his professional career with Arthur Anderson as an auditor in Milwaukee, WI. His career included corporate comptroller positions at Hamlin Corporation, Orbis-Division of Menasha Corporation and Perry Printing. In 1992 he went into private practice and formed Daniel Strause, CPA with specialization in small business planning, internal controls, real estate acquisition and profitability studies. In addition to his private practice, Dan formed a solid and diverse team of investors and established the MD Groups. The MD Groups are one of the largest owner operators of independent pharmacies in the State of Wisconsin. Dan has participated in a number of Rio area community activities, including being one of the founding members of PACE. PACE was able to raise the funds to install a new hardwood basketball floor in the Rio High School.
