Brad Vail is a resident of Lake Mills, WI and former President of Greenwoods State Bank. He has 48 years of experience in community banking in virtually all aspects ranging from teller to Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Brad began his banking career in 1959 in Macomb, Illinois with Citizen’s National Bank. He worked at Citizen’s until 1965 when he accepted a position as Vice President of the Exchange Bank in Lanark, Illinois. In June of 1969 he was named CEO and Director of the Exchange Bank. Brad remained in that position until 1981 when he acquired controlling interest and became President of Greenwoods State Bank in Lake Mills, WI. After a 24 year career as President, Brad retired in February of 2005 and became Chairman of the Board of Greenwoods State Bank. He has held that position since 2005 and will continue as a Director in an ex-officio capacity. Brad’s background of civic and non-for-profit involvement has been exemplary. He has been a member of the Lions, Jaycees and most recently the Lake Mills Rotary Club. Brad has been a member of the board of directors for many religious and church affiliations during his professional career. While in Lanark, Illinois he was a volunteer/board member for The Rolling Hills Progress Center serving disabled individuals. Brad continues to be active on the Lake Mills Chamber of Commerce and has been instrumental in the development of the Lake Mills Area Community Foundation as a board member, treasurer and donor.
